Esthetician Job Description
Place of work: Treatment Rooms
Job Overview:
Primary responsibility is to provide professional skin care treatments, including waxing, using the
standards established by Personalized Skin Care Inc., to recommend a maintenance program and products
be used at home, to give guests instructions on how to use the products to help them obtain and maintain healthy, beautiful skin.
Reports To:
Clinic Operations Manager, Assistant Clinic Director
Guest Relationships:
Internal:
Clinic/Spa, snack bar, Housekeeping, and Reception, Answering phone, filing, filling and pulling charts, pulling, confirming appointment, B-day card plus see attached for applied shift.
External:
Guests, visitors, members (if applicable), service company personnel and vendors
Standard Specifications:
Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills and/or abilities. To perform this job successfully, the incumbent will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently.
Some requirements might exclude individuals who pose a direct threat or significant risk to
themselves, other employees or the guest.
Qualifications:
Essential:
1. Graduate of esthetics school. Current esthetics license and NCEA certification
2. Excellent communication skills required
3. Ability to provide legible communication
4. Intermediate level math skills
5. Minimum of two years practical experience
6. High School Graduate
7. Knowledge of physiology
Desirable:
1. Experience in a Skin Clinic, Spa or Day Spa
2. Certified in basic first aid and CPR
Skills:
1. Assess guests’ physical needs
2. Knowledge of proper treatment methods to insure that no harm comes to guest
3. Know the dangers and limitations of the chemicals being used
4. Perform job functions with minimal supervision
5. Focus attention on guests’ needs remaining calm and courteous
6. Ability to think clearly, quickly, maintain concentration and make concise decisions
7. Prioritize, organize and follow up
8. Attention on details
9. Maintain confidentiality of all guest information and pertinent Spa data
10. To work cohesively with all Clinic areas and co-workers as part of a team
11. Flexibility in schedule
