What is a Chemical Peel?
Chemical peels are accelerated forms of exfoliation. They range from
gentle peels, which dissolve some the superficial dead skin cells, to stronger,
therapeutic peels that
achieve deep exfoliation and more dramatic results. Chemical peels
stimulate healthier skin growth, reduce the signs of aging, and smooth the
texture of the skin.
PSC Chemical Peels:
A.H.A. Treatment: This glycolic peel sloughs off
dead skin cells and stimulates cellular growth. The solution is applied
with a cotton swab and left on for two minutes. Some clients
experience a burning or stinging sensation. A couple days after you may
experience tightness, slight drying and possibly flakiness. This service is appropriate for all skin types
and will leave your skin healthy and smooth. $49
A.H.A Express: Same as above but excludes mask. $45
Tune Up Peel: One coat of Jessner peel (that may contain
resorcinol or non-resorcinol, salicylic acid, and lactic acid)
clarifies your complexion. This peel dries out active breakouts, diminishes
razor bumps, smoothes out rough skin texture, and reduces the
appearance of fine lines. This procedure is ideal for those who
cannot tolerate extractions. $45
Vitamin C Peel: This unique vitamin peel uses natural
anti-oxidants produced in Vitamin C to firm and improve the appearance of
your skin. Vitamin C strengthens the skin’s immunity and helps fight
pollutants. Powerplexes and a hydrating mask complete this regenerating
treatment to give your skin a healthy glow. $65
Booster Peel: By far one of the best peels you can find using
advanced skin care ingredients. This peel is specifically designed to smooth out fine lines,
firm the skin, dry out clogged pores, reduce sun damaged skin layers,
and promote the production of healthier skin cells. The Booster Peel has NO ”Down Time”
so you can return to normal activities. Ingredients are chosen by PSC skin
care professionals based on your individual needs. These may include steam,
AHA, epidermal growth factor, botanical extracts, activating complexes and
more. We'll finish with a soothing soufflÈ mask. $65
Booster Express: Same as above, except no mask. $55
Your esthetician will assess your skin and suggest the appropriate peel for your skin type.
Enzyme Peel: The enzyme peel is our mildest exfoliation. Applied
as a thick paste under a steamer, it breaks down and dissolves dead skin
cells leaving the skin smooth, soft, and ready to absorb treatment products.
We incorporate this gentle treatment into these facials: Classic Facial,
Clinical Treatment, "Spa" Therapy. Complimentary
After Care for Chemical Peels: Sunscreen MUST be applied 30 minutes prior to sun exposure. |
